I found the portion of the reading that touched on the Western model’s inability to represent context interesting. Initially, I didn’t understand what they meant by this as I believed the entire tree was the context to the individual “leaves” but after reading further, I understand that the meaning behind this text was that the tree is one of many in a forest and by looking at an individual tree, you cannot comprehend the bigger picture. I believe this and the idea of not containing an end by starting at the middle builds a strong case for the rhizome model. The context once again is proven relevant in the example about the orchid and wasp deterritorializing and reterritorializing.
