Building off project one, I’m thinking about continuing with lenticular imaging but this time adding more layers and depth. Maybe this idea of obstruction can happen but it’s not embedded within the lenticular but rather, it’s achieved by layering different materials over the lenticular like painted glass or various fabric meshes. I visited The Met over spring break and was very inspired by a mixed media piece by Irene Rice Pereira. The piece was a painting with a layer of corrugated/bent glass over top. On the glass was another layer of paint. This layer caused a unique perspectival change which worked as an abstraction of lenticular imaging. I’m interested in exploring these methods further.
